Broadcast Content Complainants Council (BCCC), which is the self regulatory body of entertainment channels, has asked STAR Vijay TV to apologize to actress Ranjitha for showing a video featuring her in a compromising position with Swami Nithyananda.

Apparently, A program 'Nadanthadhu Enna - Kutramum Pinnaniyum' depicting the actress in a compromising position with Swami Nithyananda has been telecasted by STAR Vijay TV on 21st March, 2012. Ranjitha filed a writ petition in Karnataka High Court seeking action against the channel for invading her privacy and showing her in a bad light. HC then routed the complaint to BCCC as STAR Vijay is an entertainment channel. BCCC has delivered the verdict in favor of Ranjitha asking the channel to apologise by running a scroll for every two hours for a period of one week, starting from September 9th.
