Madhusudhana Chary to be First Speaker of Telangana Assembly

Bhupalapalle TRS MLA Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary will be the first Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao cleared Madhusudhana Chary's name for the Speaker's post.
Though Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had initially offered the job to Dharmapuri MLA Koppula Eshwar, the latter didn’t show interest. Earlier, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Bajireddy Govardhan and Konda Surekha were also offered Speaker's post but all of them had turned down the offer.
Otherside the First ever session of the new born Telangana state’s legislative Assembly will be held from 9 to 14 June. According Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will complete the process of selecting Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Chief Whip and Whip by 8 June.
KCR is likely to expand his Cabinet soon and may induct two women this time. Names of Konda Surekha, Padma Devender Reddy and Rekha Naik are doing the rounds.
