Mahesh Babu bags the Worst Record ever
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Feb 2014 3:33 PM GMTMahesh Babu hasn't only given a path-breaking film to Telugu Audience in the form of '1 - Nenokkadine' but also bagged the worst record of biggest disaster in TFI History.
1 - Nenokkkadine Box Office report:
Total Budget: Rs 70 crore (including Promotions, Publicity and Prints).
Total Revenue Generated: Rs 45.5 crore [Rs 29.5 crore (Full Run Worldwide Theatrical Share) + Rs 16 crore (Satellite Rights + Dubbing Rights + Music Rights)]
Total Loss: Rs 24.5 crore.
Analysis: As speculated by the media, Eros hasn't acquired the entire rights of the movie for Rs 72 crore. It's just a tie-up between 14 Reels and Eros to deal with huge finance as the film is in making for nearly 2 years.
Except for Guntur and Few Centres in USA, 14 Reels have preferred an own release as the distributors turned down the huge price quoted by them for theatrical rights because of the presence of other biggie 'Yevadu'.
May be, Mahesh Babu might have learnt his lesson from this big commercial failure. Hope, He will be careful with the budget while attempting experimental flicks from now onwards.
