Movie Tickets price hiked in AP
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 April 2013 4:38 PM GMTThe GO passed by state government increasing the movie ticket prices came as a blessing in disguise for the big production houses.
Sources say, Government has divided theatres in AP into five categories and the pricing will be fixed based on them. The increase in ticket prices will be anywhere near Rs 10-20 irrespective of the location of theatres. From now, a multiplex ticket would cost minimum Rs 200.
Trade pundits say, this move will help the big films in recovering production cost as early as possibly and also benefits the small films which received hit talk. Low budget films with poor content will have to suffer more as the audience will no more come forward to see them even for time pass.
Expect the upcoming big ticket films to set new opening records, eventually ending up increasing the bank balances of stars with the amount they receive in the form of remunerations.
