BJP senior leader Murali Manohar Joshi lashed out at Deepika Padukone's video on Women Empowerment. "In Indian Tradition, We address woman as 'Mother' but there is now an objection even for it. God created Mother as he wanted to be everywhere. But now, It became an old concept. You see we have a choice...Now, you are a body, a commodity. Its the height of lack of consciousness," he responded.
Even Sonakshi Sinha made it clear she doesn't believe in the kind of Women Empowerment Deepika Padukone has been endorsing. The Masala Babe says Women Empowerment isn't about the kind of clothes you wear and not about with whom you want to have sex. "Women Empowerment is about employment and strength. It should be given to those women who actually need it," she feels.
