Musician Mandolin passes away

The renowned musician Mandolin U Srinivas passed away in Chennai on Friday morning. Srinivas who born in west Godavari district in 1969 had cam into lime light after his first public Carnatic concert performance at the age of nine.
According to a source at Apollo hospital,"Srinivas passed away due to liver-related problems this morning at 9.30". The news given shock to mandolin music lover. Srinivas given numerous shows in mandolin had renamed his name with it. Though he is well experienced in Karanataka music he concentrated on Mandolin after his instructor suggestions.
His brother Rajesh also a musician in mandolin. Shrinivas was a favorite with other well-known global artistes such as John McLaughlin, Michael Nyman and Michael Brook.
