Shock to AP Govt: No Advise on Section 8!
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Jun 2015 7:57 AM GMTUnion Law Minister Sadananda Goud on Thursday responded on the Section 8 issue between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments.
Speaking to media, Sadananda Goud made it clear that there is no truth in reports of Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi advising Governor ESL Narasimhan over implementation of Section 8 in Common Capital, Hyderabad. "Neither Attorney General nor Law Ministry has given any advise to Governor so far. We would interfere in the issue only if Union Home Ministry instructs us to do so," he clarifies.
Barely 3 days ago, Reports appeared in Regional & National Media that Attorney General has offered advise to Governor ESL Narasimhan that he has got special powers to implement Section 8 of AP Reorganisation Act in Hyderabad.
Telangana Government will breath a sigh of relief with the clarification from Union Law Minister. What will be the next move by AP Government which is adamant on the implementation of Section 8?
