No stopping for Porn Sites in India

The central government informed the Supreme Court that blocking all the International pornographic websites in India may not be possible due to several technical and legal issues.
Earlier, a petition was filed demanding an amendment to IT Act 2000 so as to treat pornography on computer and mobile a crime. It also seeked severe punishment to the producers, distributors and viewers of such sites. During the hearing of this petition, Apex Court directed the centre take measures for putting an end to the porn sites in India.
As most these pornographic websites are hosted outside India, Government is finding it difficult to make them unavailable for the people of the country. The SC now advised the government to work with various ministers to find a solution.
According to the strong buzz doing rounds, Pornographic content is one of the major reasons for the rise of atrocities against the women in the country.
