No Theatres, No marriages on V-day!!!

State Election Commission is taking all necessary precautions to increase the voting percentage in urban areas. Telangana is going for polls on April 30 th and the EC has decided to make all the voters utilize their vote.ironically from past few years less polling rate was observed in Urban areas when compares to rural regions. While poll percentage is above 65 in rural areas, it is less than 50 in urban centers.

Usually, the well-educated urban people skip voting and allot the day for entertainment and spend it as mere holiday. So this time EC is not entertaining such type of things and it has decided to shut down all the entertainment sectors such as cinema halls, parks, etc In Hyderabad city.


Even they are not giving permission for marriages in function halls on polling day on April 30th.District collector issued notice to all shopping malls and theatres and warned with dire sequences if obeyed. Upon getting pressure from EC officials Software firms also declared the day as paid holiday The EC is expecting minimum of 80% polling in Hyderabad region.
