NTR Son-in-Law quits Politics

Former Congress leader and MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Rao on Friday announced his decision to quit politics permanently.
Sharing his thoughts, Daggubati said: "I thought of quitting politics in 2009 itself. It was Purandeswari who asked me to contest again. Now, We have decided only one among us should be in politics. At one point, even Purandeswari thought of quitting but decided to continue after I insisted her to be in politics. I have the responsibility as a family man to fulfill. So, I took this decision".
Daggubati Venkateswara Rao is currently representing Parchur constituency in Prakasham district. The 5-time MLA (1984, 1985, 1989, 2004, 2009)was elected to Lok Sabha in the year 1991 and Rajya Sabha in 1996.
