OU students clash over TRS decision

The main reason behind the brawl is Telangana government’s decision to regularize contract employees. Some of the students formed as JAC and opposing the decision of government and called for shut down of educational institutions.
Students protested against this decision of the government and rally was conducted in the university premises.Angered over this another student JAC stopped them and launched attack with sticks and Iron rods.The clash assumed a violent form as the students hurled stones against each other, lathicharged among themselves and even they have lit the fire in the student leaders room.
The clash resulted injuring some students seriously, who were rushed to the hospital.The heavy police force has been deployed in the OU periphery to pacify the agitated situations
Currently, 70,000 contract employees are working in the state, which include 15,000 gazetted officers, 25,000 non-gazetted officers and another 30,000 outsourced employees. Regularising them will result in reducing the promised 1 lakh jobs to students to a mere 30,000.
