Pakistan highlighting Kavita comments
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 July 2014 6:34 AM GMTNizamabad MP and telangana CM KCR's daughter Kavitha seems to be toeing her father's line when it comes to controversies. In a recent interview to national media, Kavitha stated, “India is claiming the authority on some parts of Kashmir which does not belong to it. We should redraw the international lines, and move on. Kashmir and Telangana have similar laws, so non-locals buying property in these territories is prohibited."
The stunning comments of Kavitha on Jammu and Kashmir issue stirred up a controversy and drew flak from all political quarters.
Several leaders including Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said that the remarks were “objectionable”. He said Kavitha's opinions ran contrary to the nation's stand on the issue and feared that such statements by elected representatives of the nation in Lok Sabha are liable to misunderstand. Now all his fears come true
Pakistan media seems happy with Kavitha statement. A leading Pakistan daily highlighted the comments:
“Indian lawmaker K Kavitha, who is member of Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament, has categorically stated that Jammu Kashmir and Telangana are not parts of India and New Delhi has forcibly occupied these territories.”
It’s better to Kavita to respond on the issue at least now as the issue is growing bigger every day.
