Penukonda RTC Bus Accident: 20 Killed, 40 Injured!

A state-run APSRTC Bus (No: AP 28 Z 1053) which is on its way to Penukonda from Madakasira fell into a gorge at 8:30 AM this morning.
As many as 20 persons (mostly students) were killed in the accident. 40 Others who suffered injuries were taken to the nearby hospitals. Rescue operations were still under progress.
Sources say, 60 persons were in the Palle Velugu bus at the time of accident.
Anantapur Minister Paritala Sunitha promised to help the families of the victims in every way. She even told plans were on a foot to rush the injured to hospitals in Hyderabad and Bengaluru for better treatment.
