Phil Hughes continues to fight for life
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 Nov 2014 8:43 AM GMTIts known that Australian Cricketer Phil Hughes was hit on the head by a bouncer and he was seriously injured.As per reports his condition remains critical and he was currently operating in ICU of Saint Vincent hospital.Hughes is in an induced coma in intensive care to relieve pressure on his brain.
Tributes for Hughes have been flowing in from the cricket community from each and every corner and West Indies player Brian Lara said he was in shock at the news. Brian lara wished for speedy recovery of Hughes and said thatthe incident will show impact on all Bowlers.
Hughes was knocked out by a bouncer while batting for South Australia in a Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales.He failed to defend the bouncer bowled by Abat and th ball hit sleft side head portion of Hughes.He immediately fell down in the ground.Even he wore helmet it didn’t stopped him from being injured.Hughes has played 26 test matches for Australia since his debut in 2009 but hasn't been able to fix in the team.
