Polls: Kodandaram sensed TRS poor show much earlier

Telangana JAC Convener Prof.Kodandaram is supposed to be neutral but he always acted as a publicist for TRS party. Sensing the poor show of TRS in the Panchayat polls a day before the polling, he accused Congress party of taking up the Telangana issue again only for votes.
Out of 6,566 Gram Panchayats: Congress - 2,142; TDP - 2,096; YSR Congress - 1,478, TRS - 508.
The fight is mainly between the ruling Congress and main opposition TDP. YSR Congress performed well in Kadapa, Visakha and East Godavari districts. TRS did well only in Warangal and Medak districts.
The results of the first phase of Panchayat polls is a huge set back to TRS party. TRS is expected to perform much better because of migrations from all the other parties into it ever since KCR sat on fast-onto-death. However, nothing of that sort happened.
