Upon witnessing negative trend in Maharashtra and Haryana elections, Congress workers launched protest outside AICC Office in New Delhi demanding that Priyanka Gandhi has to join active politics.
The posters which read 'Priyanka Lao Congress Bachao' have been displayed by the Congress activists and most of them who participated in the protest were women. They even appealed Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi to take the responsibility of bringing his sister into electoral politics. "Priyanka could help Rahul in stopping Narendra Modi's wave. Had if Priyanka campaigned in Maharashtra and Haryana, the results could been be much better," says the protestors.
Analysts say, Priyanka Gandhi is the only option left with Sonia to bounce back and hence she might be waiting for the right time to use her services for the Congress party.
