By:  Tupaki Desk   |   30 July 2013 6:25 PM GMT
Miffed by the decision of Congress party and UPA, various MLAs and MPs from Seemandhra region are tendering their resignations as a protest over the sanctioning of separate state of Telangana. Congress MP Rayapati Sambasiva is the first to start with, and many more are following it.

Guntur MP Rayapati has resigned to his MP post and to Congress party also for going against the wishes Seemandhra people. The quitting of strong politician like Rayapati who is having huge vote-base in the region is making Congress party think about the damage-control they should undertake. But with Rayapati quitting, Congress 20 point program committee chairman Tulasi Reddy, Mummidivaram MLA Ponnada Satish, Hindupuram TDP MLA Abdul Ghani, Ramachandrapuram MLA Thota Trimurthulu, Pembarthi MLA Ramesh Babu and others have tendered their resignations. Few other MLAs are also in the process of quitting their posts, while JC Diwakar Reddy announced that he will take a decision tomorrow.

Seemandhra JAC has now called for a bandh tomorrow in all the districts of the coastal region and Rayalaseema. The JAC is pressuring various political bigwigs to quit from their posts or else warned them of facing music tomorrow.
