On one side the Indian economy showing signs of revival, the older Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) started their final year student placement on Monday with a bang in packages. A student of IIT Kharagpur has been offered a whopping annual salary of over Rs 1.5 crore by an multinational company. In a statement IIT Kharagpur officials said the salary package was among the 163 offers made by 27 visiting companies.
On first day of campus selection, the IITian got whooping salary package. As part of employment the student will be deployed outside India. When comes to domestic requirement 42 Lakh is the highest salary.IIT Kharagpur authorities have refused to disclose details about the student or the company which made the offer. Various MNC's which targeted to grab IITians to expand their business with new talent. some of the companies which visited on first day of its campus recruitment includes Visa, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Cisco, Microsoft IDC.
