Indian Tennis sensation Sania Mirza become World No.1 Doubles Player after she along with Swiss player Martina Hingis beat Casey Delalacqua and Darija Jurak in straight sets 6-0, 6-4 in the final of Family Circle Cup tennis tournament. With 470 Points to her 7965 rating points to emerge as the new World No.1.
Soon after the victory, Sania Mirza said: "I'd be lying if I'd say it's not playing on my mind. The idea is to take it one match at a time It's a dream come true. For me, my family, and my country too".
The Hyderabadi admits she was a bit nervous towards the end of Second Set and one needs to earn every point in Tennis to cross the finish line, no one gives it to you. 25 out of 26 WTA Titles have come from Doubles.
