Satyam Raju's unusual request surprises Jail Staff
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 April 2015 7:32 AM GMTSatyam Founder B Ramalinga Raju and his Brother Rama Raju had surprised Authorities of Cherlapalli Central Prison with an unusual request soon after they were taken into custody with Special Court sentencing them to 7 Years in jail for accounting fraud.
Apparently, Satyam Brothers urged Jail Officials to remove TV Sets from their Barracks as they don't want to hurt themselves by watching any news or discussion related to them. Authorities couldn't do much about it as all the barracks have TV sets and hence they shifted them to two barracks in which TV sets have gone for repair.
Being an ordinary prisoner, B Ramalinga Raju is currently sharing barrack space with 17 Other Prisoners who were convicted in dowry-harassment or other cases of lesser crime. He is Qaidi No. 4148 and will now appear in prison attire (white shirt & trouser) which is mandatory for convicts. He spent most of the time reading the CBI Documents papers related to his case after his barrack was opened on Friday. He also got some books along with him to the Cherlapalli prison. He was offered Khichidi for Breakfast, Rice/Chapati, Dal/Vegetable Curry, Rasam & Papad for Lunch and Dinner.
