Seemandhra agitations: 10,000 crore loss already!
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Aug 2013 1:19 PM GMTThe agitations and bandh calls in the past one week have resulted in incurring Rs 10,000 crore loss to the government exchequer. In these 7 days, About Rs 500 crore transactions haven't taken place in Vijayawada alone. The transportation and other business operations came to a standstill because of the frequent protests demanding the Centre to take back the statement on July 30th favoring Telangana.
Day-by-day, Situation in Seemandhra is turning worse and the state government have no clue how to bring back normalcy. Nothing could pacify the agitators other than stalling the process of Telangana formation.
However, Congress high command is in no mood to succumb to the pressure of Seemandhra leaders and people. The aim of Congress is to win as many seats as possible out of the 17 MPs seats in Telangana as Jagan will have a clean sweep in Seemandhra any way.
