Star Hero's film suffers Rs 25 crore loss
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 April 2013 11:37 AM GMTSalman Khan's upcoming film 'Mental' has incurred a loss of Rs 25 crore already due to the tiff between the Mumbai stuntmen and South stuntmen.
Apparently, Salman's brother Sohail Khan who is director-cum-producer of 'Mental' hired a leading South fight master for the film. The problem raised when Southern fighters refused to shoot protesting the hiring of just 30% of their men for action sequences. They are demanding at least of 50% of share.
The Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) refused to send their stuntmen for the shoot of Mental forcing the unit to postpone the schedule for couple of times, which incurred a loss to the tune of Rs 25 crore for the producer.
As per the new guidelines of All India Dilm Employees Confederation (AIFEC), about 70% of the fighters need to be from Bollywood itself and the remaining 30% can be from any other Industry. In fact, AIFEC is considering the option of increasing the non-local share from 30% to 50 % now.
