May be its not a good time for Maran brothers, one after other many troubles surrounding Kalanidhi and Dayanidhi marans. From these indications it’s pretty clear that Sun group is running into troubles.
The group which running 32 TV channels , 45 FM channels, two weekly’s with 20 lakh circulation and finally Spice jet airlines are facing issues due to corruption allegations on Maran brothers. Marans illegal intervention in Aircel and Maxis deal is the main reason behind these troubles. CBI initial investigation revealed that Maran brothers had forced Aircel owner Shiva Shankar to sell of his stake to Maxis limited. In this transaction they had received around 742 crore as bribe. In addition to that Maxis has invested 549 crores in Sun group though its Britain subsidiary.
With the CBI charge sheet Maran brothers experiencing tensions on their arrest, On the other end Sun group airline service Spice jet 1000 crores loss in the present quarter sharing fear to them. Earlier to this CBI already interrogated Maran brothers for misusing BSNL lines to their personnel use had ranged bells for their bad time. From these indications soon they will be arrested by CBI, If they apply for anticipatory bail CBI has the chances to challenge in higher court.
