SVR travels bus catches fire in Andhra
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Jan 2014 4:45 PM GMTIt was not too late of the horrific bus accident in which 45 passengers were burnt to death, in Mahbubnagar district .Now one more private travels bus caught in fire and passengers were narrowly escaped from the incident.As per the reports, the passengers of the SVR Travels bus which was travelling from Hyderabad to Tirupathi, noticed smoke coming from the diesel tank of the Bus.
The incident occured on the Mahbubnagar- Kurnool Highway near Itikyalapadu at midnight (between 11:00 pm to 12:00 pm). Over a dozen passengers were injured and they were rushed to hospital.The fuel pipe was cut and diesel fell on the silencer leading to eruption of fire and passengers jumped out of the Bus as soon as smoke exolved from the Bus and injured themselves in the process.About 30 passengers were reported to be travelling in the SVR Travels Volvo bus.
The Bus driver and the cleaner escaped from the location as soon as the incident occurred. They stopped the vehicle and jumped out of it, without helping passengers. As the SVR travels mangement not responded to the request of the passengers, they had to spend the whole night on the Highway in cold.This is the second incident of bus catching fire in Mahbubnagar district in the last three months.
