Tanishq Jewellery thief surrenders, Gives credit to Media!

One of the two accused who was behind Rs 23 crore Tanishq Jewellery store burglary surrendered before the cops on Sunday night.

B Kiran (23), a plumber from Eepur of Guntur, and his cousin Anand who suffers from polio had committed this crime. On Wednesday night, they drilled a hole into the wall of the outlet. On Friday night, Anand entered into the store and Kiran waited outside.

The extensive media coverage send shivers down Kiran's spine and made him surrender with a portion of gold ornaments. Cops said the two accused committed the burglary for education and medical treatment.

Police teams have been in search of Anand who is absconding.
