TDP bags one more ZP chairman post

Ruling TDP of Andhra Pradesh state bagged the ZP chairman post of Telangana district.The yellow party won ZP chairman of Khammam district with thumping Majority.After bagging majority MPP seats on Wednesday, the party today displayed similar feat in the ZP Chairman elections.
TDP won 19 seats out of 39 seats and it was just short of one seat to get chairman post.The party joined hands with communists in the election and it has offered Ex-Officio Member posts one each to CPI and CPM. With their support, TDP bagged both the Chairman and Vice Chairman posts.
TDP candidate G.Kavitha elected as ZP chairman with the support of 22 of total 39 members.Vasudeva Rao of TDP is elected as the Vice Chairman with similar support. TDP cadre is in jubilant with the victory and this win will come as a major boost to the party which is trying hard to settle in Telangana state
Of nine Zilla Parishads that went to polls in Telangana, The ruling TRS won in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Medak, and Mahbubnagar while the Congress bagged Nalgonda ZP.
