TDP is leading in By-elections

The by-election was necessitated after the death of sitting legislator M. Venkatramna of ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP). TD party has fielded his wife M. Suguna.
Counting of votes of bye-elections begins today morning around 8am at SV Arts College, and as expected TDP candidate Sugunamma is leading with 13,236 votes at the end of the second round.Though there are 13 candidates in the fray, it is a direct fight between Suguna and Congress party's R. Sreedevi.
Main opposition YSR Congress Party has not fielded its candidate. TDP is expecting to win the elections with at least 1 lakh vote’s majority.
