Post the defeat against New Zealand in the 2nd ODI, Team India lost its No. 1 Ranking in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
New Zealand scored 271/7 in 42 overs. Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) method has come into effect due to rain and this helped them post a challenging total of 297 before India.
Team India managed to reach 277/9 in 41.3 overs. Rain halted play again and New Zealand was declared winners with a margin of 15 runs. In the 5-match series, India were already 0-2.
