Telangana issue: Chiranjeevi resigns!

Union Tourism minister Chiranjeevi on Friday sent his resignation to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi protesting the decision of Union Cabinet to bifurcate the state. The actor-turned-politician will be formally announcing his resignation in Rajya Sabha as well.
Surprisingly, Chiru sent the resignation to party president instead of prime minister which comes under the violation of protocol.
As per the sources close to him, Chiru is deeply hurt over high command not considering the suggestions made by him in the best interest of the people of AP regarding the bifurcation. Megastar appealed to the centre to keep state united and if the division is inevitable, he strongly felt Hyderabad should be made either Union Territory or Permanent Joint Capital.
Cabinet has given its nod to the 10 districts of Telangana Yesterday. The draft bill on India's 29th state is likely to reach president Pranab Mukherjee Tomorrow. Later, President will send it to state Assembly which meets on 12th on January.
