Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani revealed that she has washed dishes at a hotel in Mumbai 15 years ago. "Being a Minister, I feel proud that I have washed dishes 15 years ago. No one should feel inferior just because he/she is a plumber or carpenter a mechanic. There is no shame! India is a country of aspirations," she told.
Asserting that 'Dignity of Labour' is an important aspect, The Union Minister said Labour gets the dignity from society when he skilled enough.
Smriti Irani stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving prominence to skill development. She also opined 'Mae In India' campaign's first priority is to build 'Skilled India'.
