This TRS MLA isn't Indian Citizen
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Aug 2013 5:16 PM GMTAndhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday passed the judgement that TRS MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh isn't Indian Citizen after declaring his election from Vemulawada constituency in Karimnagar as illegal citing the false documents filed by him.
In 2009, Union Home Ministry received a complaint that Chennamaneni Ramesh submitted false documents stating he holds dual citizenship and stayed in India for one year to contest the elections. Home Ministry issued a show cause notice and began an enquiry. In return, the MLA approached the High Court seeking cancellation of the enquiry and the judgement has been delivered Today.
Chennamaneni Ramesh worked as a professor in USA. He is the son of communist senior leader Chennamaneni Rajeswar Rao who later joined TDP. Ramesh was actually in TDP till 2009, after KCR's fast-unto-death he joined TRS and contested the by-polls to become an MLA.
