Tollywood: Film Tickets to cost a bomb!
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Jan 2013 5:05 PM GMTAndhra Pradesh government has reportedly agreed for the price hike of film tickets all over the state. This move is a big relief for the big budget filmmakers and the exhibitors who were suffering a lot due to piracy and over-budgets.
According to the present tariff, the cost of balcony ticket for AC Theatres in areas like Municipal Corporation is Rs 55, for towns it is Rs 35. If the new tariff comes into effect, the price will go upto Rs 75 and Rs 55 respectively.
According to the present tariff, the cost of middle class ticket for AC Theatres in areas like Municipal Corporation is Rs 30-Rs 40, for towns it is Rs 20-30. If the new tariff comes into effect, the price will be anywhere between Rs 40-Rs 55 and Rs 35-Rs 40 respectively.
According to the present tariff, the cost of lower class ticket for AC Theatres in both Municipal Corporation and towns is Rs 10. If the new tariff comes into effect, the price will go upto Rs 25 in Municipal Corporation and Rs 20 in towns.
For non-AC Theatres, the proposed tariff for upper class, middle class and lower class is Rs 45, Rs 30 and Rs 15 respectively.
For Multiplexes, the prices may be flexible which is like permitting them to set a fee over Rs 200.
