Top Heroine charging only Rs 20 lakhs

Trisha is making her foray into Sandalwood opposite Puneeth Rajkumar in the remake of Telugu blockbuster Dookudu. Buzz is that she will be receiving only Rs 20 lakhs as remuneration for this movie.
Analysts say, Tollywood is the only Industry which offers Rs 1 crore-plus to top league actresses. Remunerations of heroines is very less in Sandalwood and Mollywood, when compared to Tollywood and Kollywood.
Trisha used to charge anywhere between Rs 50 - 70 lakhs till few years ago. However, she isn't one of the leading heroines at present and barely has any exciting proects in Telugu and Tamil. As a result, she choose to step into Kannada film industry to continue as an actress for few more years. Actresses in Kannada films get a very less pay check as their market is very limited. Hence, Trisha has no other option but to act for just Rs 20 lakhs.
