By: Tupaki Desk | 7 May 2015 5:58 AM GMTBollywood actor Salman Khan's Toyota Land Cruiser ran over the people sleeping on the pavement on September 28th, 2002. Sessions Court convicted the star and sentenced him to 5 years in prison. Are the victims happy about the verdict?
Nurullah Mahboob Sharif who was sleeping on the pavement on that particular day along with four others died on the spot. Wife of Sharif says Salman Khan has promised Rs 10 lakh but they never got it and daily needs including food an education for children has been a struggle for the family. She feels a job for her son in this troubled times will be very helpful rather than a payment of Rs 10 lakhs.
Even Four Others who were injured in the accident only seek compensation for the damage caused but not punishment for the actor.
Abdullah Rauf Shaif who lost his leg in the accident says he has been doing small-time jobs to support his family. "I willn't get back 13 years or my leg even if Salman was conviction. Compensation would be helpful," says the victim, who still watches the films of the actor.
