What changed Chowdhary's mindset?

Union Minister of State Sujana Chowdary is one of the leaders who used to stress Special Category Status is a must for ensuring development in AP has taken a U-Turn. To everyone's surprise, He now says Special Status isn't a big deal as it is worth just Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 crore and TDP is looking for alternatives to overcome crisis.

Sujana Chowdary declares AP will be receiving funds to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore for 2014-15 fiscal year by March end. While Rs 7,500 crore is for overcoming Deficit Budget, Rs 2,000 crore for Capital Construction and Rs 750 crore as CST compensation. Centre will also be releasing Rs 350 crore for Polavaram Project and Rs 280 crore for Cyclone Hudhud rehabilitation.

What's the reason for Sujana Chowdary? Has he in deep sleep until now? Is he being used by Chandrababu Naidu as a tool to spread the opinion Special Status will be of no big use as Centre isn't keen on according it to AP?
