Whats wrong in Consensual sex:renuka Chowdary
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Oct 2013 7:36 AM GMTCongress spokesperson and Firebrand Renuka Chowdary once again came up with a controversial statements on consensual sex.The EX-MP of Khammam district reacted about a Delhi court's comments the other day that girls should not indulge in consensual sex before tying the knot.
Renuka stated that if a girl is above 18 years, then there is no need of any Court's endorsement for her to take part in consensual sex. She felt that any girl who crossed 18 could indulge in consensual sex.
‘’We do not need anyone's permission if you are above 18. You are entitled to consensual sex. We don't need court judgement or endorsement for that," Chowdhary said.”
Renuka had a chance to reveal her opinion On the occasion of Delhi court judgement which held that there is a disturbing trend in some cases that women first have consensual sex and then allege it to be a rape.
Chowdhary also said that derogatory attributes that are given to a woman who goes in for consensual sex cannot be confused with deliberate brutal rape.
Though the MP neither condemned nor supported the comments made by Court, she explained her own thoughts about it.
