Who hits maximum number of sixes in World Cup 2015

After six weeks, the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup comes to an end and Australia are the champions for the fifth time. This tournament has seen plenty of records in both batting and bowling. We have already reported about highest number of run getters and wicket takers now its the time to know the batsman who hits highest sixes.

South African skipper AB de Villiers leading the most sixes list with 20, the most number of sixes in a single edition of Cricket World Cup. With 20 sixes hit in ICC World Cup 2015, he broke former Australia left-handed opener Matthew Hayden’s record of 18 sixes in the 2007 edition.

Following AB de Villiers closely is West Indies batting powerhouse Chris Gayle with 18 sixes, out of which 16 were hit in a single match against Zimbabwe during his knock of 215. Brendon McCullum is third with 12 sixes while Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan also features as the most sixes hitting batsmen of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
