Why did Sachin avoid Net Practice in 2003 World Cup?

Sachin Tendulkar emerged as the Man Of The Tournament in 2003 World Cup and the master has done it without facing a single ball in the nets. This news was revealed by none other than his former teammate Rahul Dravid.
Until now, No cricketer has ever scored over 673 runs in a single World Cup. The highlight of this achievement in the 98-run against Pakistan which have a face attack including Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar.
Dravid revealed all of the Indian team members were wondering why Sachin hasn't been facing a single ball in the nets. He even asked the little master why he is doing so and then came the reply "I am feeling good. I don't want to go into the nets and waste the touch. I have to feel good about my batting. When I have that, I will score runs".
The Wall of Indian Cricket, Dravid, treats Sachin as a legend and a greatest player he has ever played with in his career.
