YS Bharathi asks PM to intervene
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 May 2013 10:57 AM GMTYS Bharathi wrote a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking his intervention in the ongoing investigation of disproportionate assets case against her husband Jaganmohan Reddy.
In her letter, Bharathi alleged CBI is intentionally delaying the investigation to keep Jagan in jail until the next general elections. "In May this year, CBI approached Supreme Court seeking extension of Jagan's custody as four more months will be required to complete the investigation. The court granted the four months period to the investigation sleuths. However, CBI's counsel while addressing the media hinted that they might seek further extension of the custody. This indicates mala-fide intent and the CBI is operating as per the directions of government," she opened.
Bharathi opined that she was forced to write a letter to PM as they the family of late YSR strongly believe they were subjected to harassment due the fact that YS Jagan walked out of Congress and floated a new party. She urged PM to show the people that country stands for justice by conducting a fair investigation in the illegal assets case.
