YSRCP welcomes Vijayawada as AP capital

Amidst chaos created by YCP members AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has declared in the state assembly that state capital will be built at Vijayawada as it is centrally located in the state. Chandrababu discontinued his speech in the middle as opposition party members loudly shouting slogans in the house
However YS Jgan has welcomed the Andhra Pradesh government's move .Speaking on Capital debate Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy said while his party had no objection over the government's choice, it only wanted a decision in a democratic manner.
Jagan said that the issue should have been discussed before taking a decision.Jagan said in the larger interest of the state his party welcomed the decision and was ready to give constructive suggestions.
Jagan said that the new capital would required nearly 30,000 acres of land and the land-pooling mechanism being proposed by State Government would lead to sharp rise in the prices of land benefitting landlords.
Otherside Protests were observed in Rayalaseema region over Babu decision of making Vijayawada as New capital.Lawyers and students boycotted their duties and joined protests in Kurnool. They began indefinite fast demanding Kurnool to be declared as the capital of the state.
