Only 80 days have been left for the centre to bring the Telangana bill in parliament as the Winter Session is going to begin in the next few months.
As of now, the Cabinet Draft Note on Tekangana is ready and it will be placed before the cabinet in the first week of October, after prime minister Manmohan Singh's return from USA.
As the entire process of statehood takes at least 215 days, Centre needs to act quickly for the creation of Telangana before 2014 polls. Several things like Preparation of the Cabinet Note, Group of Ministers preparing the Draft Bill, Approval of Draft Bill by President, Referring the Draft Bill to the State Assembly for its views, Union Cabinet need to approve the final Bill based on views of AP Assembly and sent it to President for consent before placing it in Parliament. The entire process should be completed at least 10 days before the last working day of Winter Session, so that the bill might get the approval from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
