Meanwhile, Thanikella Bharani announced a project with Sunil with the title Bhakta Kannappa and this invited the wrath of Krishnam Raju who commented he holds the rights of the movie and its not right on the part of Bharani-Sunil to remake it without his consent.
Sunil, however, clarified his film isn't a remake and no way related to Krishnam Raju's movie. "My film is a tribal love story with loads of entertainment," he told.
