Exclusive: I touches Rs 35 crore-mark in Telugu!

'I', the most-awaited film of the year, has been setting new record even before the release. This romantic thriller has been sold out for a record price in all the territories across the World and the pre-release business of the movie is outstanding.

As far as Telugu version is concerned, 'I' theatrical rights have been acquired by NV Prasad of Mega Super Good Films for Rs 30 crore. Already, Krishna district rights have been sold out for a record Rs 2.2 crore. Now, Producer has been quoting nothing less than Rs 12-13 crore for Nizam and Rs 7.2 for Ceeded territories. Even the price tags in other territories of Andhra has been he highest for a dubbed flick till date. In fact, These prices were on par with movies of Tollywood top stars.

Analysts say, 'I' Telugu version fetches about Rs 35 crore pre-release business from AP and Telangana alone. Vikram's 'Nanna' Telugu theatrical rights were acquired for just Rs 5 crore. That shows how much did Shankar contribute for the business of 'I'.

At the end of the day, Only content rules and hope Shankar brings smiles on the faces of all the people associated with 'I'.
