Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday said other states could benefit by adopting his growth model.
Speaking at a session organised here by three chambers of commerce here, Modi said: "In our country you cannot apply one growth model of a state in another state, but one can borrow basic strategy as well as philosophy of that model."
"What is required is modification, not Modi-fication," he said.
Modi, widely touted as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, talked about how he transformed Gujarat into one of the fastest-growing states in India.
