Central Board of Film Certification banned the film 'Unfreedom' which explores homosexuality.

'Unfreedom' is the story of a young girl who resists marriage to lead the life with her lesbian partner. Nudity and Love-Making Scenes of Female Leads prompted the Censor Board to ban the movie.

The film has got a parallel story which deals around a liberal Muslim kidnapped by a Terrorist.

Examining Committee and Revising Committee refused to allow the theatrical release of 'Unfreedom' in India. They fear this film could ignite unnatural passions and Hindu-Muslims might start fighting.

The Film's Director now moved High Court stating that Censor Board can't dictate terms to a filmmaker on what to make and what not to!
