Greater Hyderabad Municipal Council (GHMC) elections were being delayed by KCR government for a long time now. The high court of TS state today asked the government to conduct GHMC elections at the earliest and issued deadlines to the ruling party.
Taking a serious view of the Telangana Government’s dillydallying on holding elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the High Court on Monday has granted deadline as December 15th.
The court asked the government to complete reorganizing process of wards before October 31st and asked to conduct the elections before the given period. Earlier court ordered T government to hold the elections as the earliest, but KCR led government requested for an odd time of 249 days, which was rejected by court.
