As many as 3 AP legislators and 2 MLCs on Sunday announced that they had submitted their resignations in protest against the proposal to formation of separate Telanagana state by dividing the Rayalseema in the name of Rayala Telangana.

Jammalapadugu MLA Adi Narayana Reddy (Congress), Rayachoti MLA Srikanth Reddy (YSR Congress), Railway Kodad MLA Srinivasulu (YSR Congres) and MLCs Narayan Reddy & V Pullaiah submitted their resignation letters to Kadapa District Samaikhyandhra JAC convenor Chandrashekhar Reddy. These resignations will be forwarded to Assembly Speakar and the Chairman of Legislative Council.

Samaikyandhra Joint Action committee asked the Centre to give up the thought of dividing the state or get ready to face the ire of the people. It reiterated that all the three regions of the state should be united forever.

The people of Rayalseema were strictly against the idea of 'Rayala Telanagana' which is a solution Congress high command has found out to resolve the Telangana issue. Few more Seemandhra leaders might submit resignations in the near future in protest against the bifurcation of state.
