Deputy CM Kadiyum Srihari informs Article 371 (D) of the Constitution - 'local status' will be applicable for only those students who pursued schooling in Telangana state for a period of 7 years.
Telangana Government has made it clear that Students have to submit the last 7 years schooling record to either claim Fee Reimbursement or Scholarships. This new rule will be coming into effect from the Academic Year 2014-15.
To make the entire process easier, Telangana Government will be receiving online submission of applications on the e-Pass website. Students will have to provide their schooling records, caste and income certificates. About 40,000 Students have already provided the necessary information.
The State Government claims it is keen on extending benefits like Fee Reimbursement and Scholarships to 16.57 lakh Students this year.
