An Anti-Terrorism Court on Thursday sentenced four Pakistani Taliban militants to 25 years in jail for alleged attack on teenage child rights activist Malala Yousafzai in the year 2012.
The 17-Year-Old was shot with firearms by Militants while she was returning from School located in Mingora town of Swat district in October 2012. She has undergone treatment in Pakistan and UK. Pakistan Army arrested 10 people in connection with the case in September 2014. The Court found four people guilty of committing the crime and handed them 25 years imprisonment.
Malala shot to fame after voicing her opinion on the right to education of girls in Swat valley in 2007. She became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner after being conferred the prestigious award in October, 2014.
