BJP demanding 50 % seats from TDP

Update: 2014-03-21 05:57 GMT
The much speculated Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) re-alliance seems to have hit a road block. According to source the state BJP leaders are not in favor of the alliance as they are fully confident Modi factor.

Especially in Telangana region BJP leaders are least bothering about the alliance. They feel TDP is a liability in the region considering its shattered image there.By considering the TDP image In Telangana BJP reportedly asked for 60 assembly seats (out of 119) and eight to nine Lok Sabha seats (out of 17) in the region which was so far to the possibility.

At the same time, there are doubts on how the TDP-BJP alliance will be perceived in Andhra/Rayalaseema as many leaders opposing the BJP decision to support to telangana statehood.

In a way, it is a dilemma for both the TDP and BJP because every other party has retained something and given up something in both regions and which we may call it as deadlock situation.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is expected to confer with BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi soon, after which there could be clarity on any prospective alliance.
